Army sends a volunteer company to patrol the uncharted territories of the West

Synopsis

In the winter of 1862, during the Civil War, the U.S. Minervini had a set built in Montana and then let the cast live in it for two months. The dialogue and thoughts expressed are those the actors came up with while living in the wilderness, imagining themselves as soldiers in the Civil War.

Not that anyone has ever heard of him or seen his other boring films. Even though the Civil War was fought between the North and the South, for some very stupid reason some Northern soldiers are sent West to “explore uncharted territory” because apparently the North has soldiers on hand to do something completely unnecessary to the war effort. Throughout the entire boring films these soldiers just wander around, set up camp and talk a lot of boring crap.

Nothing else happens

Like, “Have you ever shot anyone?” “Yes, a rabbit.” Really deep and philosophical. Oh well. These “soldiers” never act like real soldiers in the Civil War and at no point do they speak like them.

For comparison, I recommend the great Ken Burns documentary. Or just watch any spaghetti western from the 70s. Space Zombies” is more realistic (and a lot funnier) than this crap.
